Comprehensive Dental Treatment & Counselling about importance of Oral Hygiene of people belonging to poor sections of Society
In India, the awareness about the importance of OralHygiene is lacking among people in general. Among people belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) category, the awareness is almostabsent and they do not know that poor oral hygiene is thecause of many disease and poor health.
In view of above, Avijai Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Crystal Dental Centre, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi (A NABH accredited and ISO-certified State-of-the-Art Dental Centre) plans to take up a Project where persons belonging to BPL category families will be provided Counselling about the importance of Oral Hygiene and comprehensive dental treatment will be provided to those who require it.
Three Dental Camps will be organised in Delhi in those selected areas where BPL category families reside. In these Camps, Dental Surgeons will do comprehensive dental checkups and identify patients who require treatment. Counselling about the importance of Oral Hygiene will be done at the Camp and Dental Kits will be distributed to families.
Comprehensive dental treatment will be provided to identified BPL category persons. The treatments will include root canal therapy, tooth coloured restoration, filling of cavities, full mouth cleaning of plaque& calculus, gum disease therapy, replacement of missing teeth, implants etc.
It is proposed that from each Camp 50 persons will be identified for dental treatment and hence under this Project, comprehensive dental treatment will be provided to about 150 BPL category persons.
The total expenditure onorganisation of three camps and providing comprehensive dental treatment to 150 BPLcategory persons will as below: –
Organization of 3 Camps – Rs 1.50 lac
@ Rs 50,000/ -per Camp
Comprehensive dental treatment – Rs 11.25 lac
@ 7,500/ – per person
for 150 people Total Rs 12.75 Lac
